Apple cake


75g butter (room temperature)
75g sugar
3 eggs (room temperature)
3tbsp plain yogurt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp baking powder
165g low flour
1 tbsp corn starch
4 small apples (2 thin slices, another 2 cut into small cubes)
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
1 tbsp flour and butter  (for pan coating)


  1. Butter the 7-inch round baking pan. Then covered with 1 tbsp flour into the pan and pour out the excessive flour.
  2. Cream the butter with sugar.
  3. Beat the egg and slowly add into butter.
  4. Add in vanilla extract and yogurt and mixed until combined.
  5. Before folding the flour into the butter mixture, take out 1 tbsp of flour and scoop into apple cubes and mix.
  6. Fold the flour until combined. (this step is able to use electric mixer but don't over mix) Then fold in the apple cubes.
  7. Pour the mixture into the baking pan.
  8. Arrange the apple slices on the mixture.(do whatever the way you want)
  9. Preheat oven 170'C and bake for 45 mins.
  10. Let the cake cool down in the baking pan for 15-20 mins then take out and let it cool completely.
*The cinnamon powder can be added into the cake mixture. Since i forgot to do so, i just sprinkle on top of the apple slices.

75g 糖
165g 低筋面粉

  1. 将牛油抹匀7寸圆形烘盘,然后倒入面粉盖过整个盘子在倒出多余的面粉。
  2. 牛油和糖打鬆。
  3. 蛋打散,再慢慢地搅入牛油。
  4. 然后加入香草精和优格,较均匀。
  5. 准备好的面粉,拿出1汤匙的面粉放入苹果粒搅均匀。
  6. 将面粉搅入牛油混合物直均匀, 然后拌入苹果粒。
  7. 将混合物倒入烘盘里。
  8. 之后将苹果片顺序地排入混合物上面。
  9. 已预热170’C 的烤箱, 烘45分钟。
  10. 烘好的蛋糕与烘盘放凉直15-20分钟,然后倒扣出来再放直完全凉。
